Cute & Fuzzy Somethings

Good Afternoon! Isn't it great, it's almost the weekend and I'm so pleased as I have 3 whole days off work YIPEE!!! That means that I'll definately have some time to craft, I can't wait as I got some new rubber yesterday but more of that later.

It's Friday so it's Stamp Something Challenge time, and this week we'd like to see you create some Cute & Fuzzy Somethings, here's mine...

I just love this little Beatrix Potter image, so cute! I've coloured with Promarkers and used a fine liner to add details to the kitty's fur. The papers are My Mind's Eye "Bloom and Grow", the sentiment stamp is from Penny Black and the ribbon is Artemio. I've added some extra detail with my Sissix corner die and Prima flowers. I've used a fab sketch from this week's Cupcake Challenge, so will enter my card for this, and the theme over at Passion For Promarkers is Animals, plus you can use any colours for the challenge, so another challenge for me to enter!

This week we are sponsored by a digi company called Ildi Co, who do some really cute Teddy images, clowns and some funky robots too! Just click on the link to take you to their site!

Pop over to Stamp Something to check out the other DT cards, and get more information on the challenge and this week's prize. Don't forget we'll also be choosing out favourite Top 5 projects!

Snow Buddies

There's a new christmas digi kit out over at The Creative Cottage called Snow Buddies. It's full of cute images of eskimos, polar bears and the most delish papers in brown and blue tones. Here are a couple of quick cards I made last night with this kit...

The kit is so easy to use, some of the papers can even be used for other occassions as they don't all have a winter theme. Pop over to The Creative Cottage to see the kit and some of the other DT samples.

Boo! Another Witchy Creation

Good Morning everyone! Ok, here's another Halloween card, I'm on a roll with these at the moment, but I saw this image from Mo's Digital Pencil and just had to use it...

I've kept the card really simple as I just love the image and didn't want to take anything away from it, so the only detail is the ribbon. Not sure if it works, think maybe it's lacking a little something, never mind! This is the first time I've used an image from Mo Manning, but I have to say the illustrations are out of this world! I shall definately be using them more often! The image is coloured with Promarkers and also Color Box Chalk Inks for shading in the night sky. I've added a few little stars with a white gel pen. And that's basically it (although it took a while to colour the image as it's fairly detailed).

This card is for two challenges, Stampin For The Weekend which is "A Haunting Good Time" and ABC Challenge which is "Flying" (I know this little witch isn't flying here but that's only cos her little pet cat/dog is afraid of heights lol!

Something a little Spooky...

Hello and a Happy Friday to you all! With only a week now until Halloween, the theme over at Stamp Something is Something for Halloween, so here's the DT cards I've done...

This week's sponsor is Cute Daisy May, so the Design Team were given these cute digital images to work with for this challenge. I just love the first image with the little cat, he reminds me so much of my little cat Réglisse (he's black). I've coloured the images with Promarkers, papers are from The Creative Cottage (first card) and are free to download this month, as are both sentiments. The papers on the second card are Dovecraft "Wild Blossom", which were kindly sent to me from my friend Denise (thanks a lot hun). Rest is from my stash.

Well, unfortunately the French don't celebrate Halloween as much as in the UK (or the US), but I shall buy some sweeties just in case any little ones pop by! If it's like last year I'll end up eating the sweeties myself!

There's a lovely prize on offer this week to one random winner, so get crafting your spooky creations to be in with a chance to win!

I also have a little request for anyone out there who has a card to spare. This month is Spina Bifida Awareness Month, and my fellow DT member Giovana has put a request on her blog for all us crafties to send a card to a little girl called Rebekah, who is 7 and has Spina Bifida. Here is a link to the post if anyone would care to send a card to Bekah, thanks so much for your support!

It's Been a While and a Sugar Nellie

Hello! It's been a while but I'm back! I had a lovely stay in Kent last weekend, where I did lots of shopping! Unfortunately I only found one craft shop (Paper Mill Shop in Ashford), so I'll have to be more organised next time and check out Google for craft shops before I go! If anyone reading this lives in Kent and knows of any good craft shops I'd love to hear about them!

Ok, I do have a little card to share with you, it's a last minute one for The Sugar Bowl challenge, a lovely sketch by Tiets...

Recipe:

Image - Leanne Ellis for Sugar Nellie
Promarkers
Paper - K & Co Sparkly Sweet
Sentiment - Cuddly Buddly
Embossing - Cuttlebug Perfect Paisley

Ok, off to tidy up my mess now before I get some sleep! Hopefully be back tomorrow to do a bit of blog hopping! Take care, and thanks for popping by!

Bling It Somethings...

Hello! Oh, I've had such a busy week this week, I seem to be getting a few things done so my efforts aren't all to no avail! Unfortunately the crafting has had to take a back seat this week, so I've had nothing to share with you all! But alas, today is Friday and time for another Stamp Something challenge, and this week we'd like to see your Bling It Somethings, here's my DT card...

I have to say I enjoyed this one, and have rather gone to town on the bling! But as it's a Christmas card, then I think it's not too OTT! I just love bling at Christmas!

The image is Penny Black "tis the season", coloured with Promarkers. The paper I did myself by using a snowflake stamp and silver tinsel embossing powder (it's AGES since I did any heat embossing), and I have to admit I really like it! I've made the little snowflake embellies using punches and gems, the ribbon/tinsel is Papermania and the sentiment is from an old See D's set. For that extra bling factor, I've added lots of glitter glue! Et voila!

This week, the challenge is again sponsored by iCopic, so don't miss out on a chance to win a fabby prize! Get over to the Stamp Something blog to see all the DT cards, and then get blinging!!!

As for me, I'm off for a little trip to good old Blighty this weekend, can't wait! I shall be snooping around the Kent area, trying to get a bit of Xmas shopping done (I know I'm early but it makes a change for me). Of course I'll have to sniff out a craft shop whilst in the UK, I have to feed the habit lol!

Bows, Buttons and a Stitch or Two

Hello on this sunny Monday afternoon! Ok, I'm going to have to calm down as I've just experienced a bit of road rage! Without going into too many details, I've just had a 38 tonner right up my ar*e, beeping and flashing his lights as I wasn't going fast enough for him (despite the fact that I was doing the speed limit on that road). So when he finally overtook me, he got stuck behind the next car and tried to overtake them on a bend, what is it with these people!

Changing the subject to a more calming one, here's a little card I made for Penny Black Saturday Challenge (Buttons and Bows) and Cupcake Craft Challenges (Buttons and Stitching)...

The image and sentiment are both Penny Black, I've coloured the cute kitties with Promarkers. The scallops were done with a SU border punch, and I punched holes with my Big Bite to thread the ribbon through. The ribbon is from my friend Tracy, thanks hun! The paper is K & Co "Sparkly Sweet". I've added three little buttons to fit with the challenge.

Right, off to make myself a cuppa to calm my nerves!

Lazy Autumn Sunday Afternoon

Good afternoon everyone! You know those days when you can't be bothered to do a thing and basically sit about watching TV, snacking, and doing nothing in general, well that's me today! I'm making the most of it as I have to go to work tonight, so I've got a couple of hours left before I need to motivate myself :) I have got a card to share with you today, although I made it yesterday...

This card is for my BIL, it reads "Happy Birthday Brother". I followed the sketch over at Basic Grey Challenges, it was nice to work with. So the paper is Basic Grey Archaic. The image is a Lelo Design from Stampavie, coloured with Promarkers. As I've used autumn colours, this card also fits the "Autumn Glory" challenge over at the new blog By The Cute And Girly.

Well that's all for today, hope you all have a lovely Sunday, whatever you do (or don't do as in my case lol).

Brown Somethings

Hi, can you believe that's another week almost over AGAIN!? Well it's Friday and another chance to take part in a new Stamp Something Challenge, this week the theme is "Brown Somethings" although you can use other colours too. Here's my DT card...

I just love this image, although I really don't use it enough. It's from Sugar Nellie, not a new one, but one of my faves all the same. The sentiment stamp is from Cuddly Buddly and I've used MME Wild Asparagus paper, I just love this pack! I shall have to treat myself to some more MME papers, the Bloom and Grow one is next on my ever growing craft list.

This week our generous sponsor is iCopic, who are donating a set of 12 Copic Ciao markers to the winner! So why not pop over to the Stamp Something blog to find out more! You'll also be in for a treat when you see the other lovely DT cards!

As I've coloured the card with my luurvly Promarkers, I'm entering this card for the Passion For Promarkers challenge, a "Recipe - 3 Shapes (not including card shape), 2 papers and 1 ribbon". It also fits for this week's Cute Card Thursday Challenge, So Charming, where you have to use a charm on your card. I just love these little horse charms from The Hobby House.

Thanks for popping by, hope you can join in with the challenge!

Mid Week Thank You

Good Evening to you all! I just wanted to say a little thank you to everyone that visits my blog, especially my regular blogging friends, but also to any new friends who have recently found my blog! I really appreciate all the lovely comments you all leave, it's nice to have 'contact' with friends back in the UK, but also from all over the world! What did we ever do before Blogland (the housework perhaps lol)? Well, as it happens, I have a little Thank You card to share with you...

I've had a play with my new Promarkers, and I just love these colours, especially the Dusky Pink. The image was kindly sent from a friend (I'm not sure of the details), the sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, and the paper is Basic Grey Sugared.
I've followed the sketch from I Love Promarkers, which is simple but lovely all the same (I like simple), and as it's a Thank You card it fits for this week's Cupcake Craft Challenge, which is "Thanks a bunch".

Thanks again for all your support, don't forget to pop back tomorrow for info on the new Stamp Something Challenge.

Singing in the Rain!

I'm singing in the rain...just singing in the rain la la la...ohhhh what a glorious feeling... ok I'm a rubbish singer but I just had to sing as we finally got rain! After months of no rain the heavens finally opened today! And not before time as the garden has been reduced to a dry, shrivelled mess, the lawn is white and the trees are looking very sorry indeed! I didn't always appreciate the rain in the UK, probably 'cos there was far too much, but I love it now! Roll on the next rainy day!

Ok now for my card today, it's for The Sugar Bowl challenge, which is a lovely sketch by Gayle...

The image is called Time Flies, it's a Leanne Ellis one for Sugar Nellie, coloured with Promarkers. Paper is K & Co and the flower embellies I made myself. I've flipped the sketch on it's side to accomodate my image better, hope that's allowed. Not easy to see on the photo, I've added gloss to the clock, and also some glitter. Thanks for popping by my blog, I shall catch up on some blog hopping tomorrow hopefully.

The Creative Cottage New Realeases

Hi, hope you're all having a lovely weekend! Just wanted to let you know that there are two new digi kits available over at The Creative Cottage, Robbie & Roxanne (a cute Christmas themed kit with some adorable robins) and Forest Friends (with the most cheeky little forest critters you ever did see). Here are a few cards I've made using the lovely kits, these are from the Robbie & Roxanne kit...

As the challenge over at A Spoonfull of Sugar is "Christmas" this week, well I thought these two fitted perfectly. I've printed the paper (of the second card) and all images from the digi kit, and added my own embellishments and sentiments.

The other card I have to share with you all is from the Forest Friends kit...

Sorry it's a little dull, but my printer isn't the greatest and I've since found out that I get a brighter printout if I use glossy or photo paper. You have to admit though, aren't those animals just sooooo cute!

Pop over to The Creative Cottage to see more of these new kits, and check out the other DT cards. You can purchase the kits directly from the site, but if you're a regular shopper at Pollycraft you may have seen that the kits are available from there too! I have to say these kits are fab, especially if you need to make lots of cards or cards in a hurry! They couldn't be simple to put together as everything co-ordinates so well!

Stamp Something Apple/Teacher

Hello! Well there's another week almost over, and as it's Friday it's time for another Stamp Something challenge. This week we'd like you to create a school themed card or project, here's my DT card...

I've used Edwin, who is studiously doing his maths homework with an extra large pencil! The papers are Basic Grey, and the sentiment is one that was kindly sent to me by Lyndsey (one of her own). I've also added ribbon, cap charm and star buttons (lots of stars as I'm sure he's going to get 10/10 for his homework lol).

This week the challenge is sponsored by My Creative Classroom. Why not pop over and check out all the other DT cards etc, so you can get cracking with your homework of doing a project or card this week!
