The Creative Cottage Challenge 26 Embossing

Helloooo, phew I'm cream crackered... just home after a 13½ hour shift at work, and I'm back again tomorrow for the same so this'll be a very short post!

Before I mention the challenge I just want to wish Teri all the best, sadly she's stepping down from the DT so this will be her last challenge! Pop by and say hi, her cards are top notch! Ok, our new challenge at The Creative Cottage Challenge Blog chosen by the lovely and super talented Tracy is Embossing! I've done my card using the Robbie & Roxanne kit, and I've used my Cuttlebug for the embossed border. There's a £10 gift voucher from The Creative Cottage Shop up for grabs so be sure you have a go!

Off to bed now peeps, I can hardly keep my eyes open! Good night!

The Creative Cottage and Di's Digi Downloads

Hello hello! Just sharing a couple of little cards that I made recently. The first one, my zebra card, was made using the new JUNGLE FUN digi kit at The Creative Cottage... a great kit for kiddies cards, so many cute jungle characters, matching papers and printable embellishments. I'll be showing a few more of these cards in the not too distant future! Pop over to The Creative Cottage shop to check out the new kit, plus there are some topper sheets which can be purchased seperately at only 80p per sheet, or £1.99 for all three!

My second card today is using the rather cute digi stamp from Di's Digi Downloads called 'King of the Castle'... this so reminds me of my little cat Réglisse... he really is King in our house! Di has LOTS of super cute digi images perfect for any occassion, pop over to her site and take a peek! I've coloured the image using Promarkers, and used papers, flower and corners from The Creative Cottage (Poppy Delight Paper Pack & Poppy Delight Owl Set).

Well that's all for today, have a great weekend and thanks for popping by!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 113 Boys & Their Toys

Monday morning means Cupcake Craft Challenge time! This week it's my turn to choose a theme for our challenge, so I decided to stay clear of Halloween & Christmas and choose another of my favourite things in my little world of card making... cards for boys (or men... but they're all boys at heart anyway). So the challenge is 'Boys and their toys'! Now contrary to belief of one of my fellow teamies (you know who you are lol) who first interpreted this in a bit of a naughty way... I was thinking more along the lines of my little card above... you MUST make a boys card/project and include a boy's toy of somesort on your creation... or make a toy for a boy if you're feeling really crafty!

My little card is made using one of the yummy Lili of the Valley stamps... I've also used the sketch by Bev for the current Lili of the Valley Challenge. I've coloured with Promarkers, the checked paper is from The Creative Cottage 'Snow Much Fun' digi pack, the sentiment is a stamp from Inkadinkadoo, and the rest is from my (messy) stash. I'm also entering my card in the following challenges...
Paper Sundaes... For Someone Little
CES Challenges... Male Birthday Card
Digi Doodle Shop... My Peeps

We're sponsored this week at Cupcake by The Ribbon Girl who is kindly giving some yummy ribbon stash away to one lucky random winner! Don't forget our monthly sponsor is Lili of the Valley so you could win 3 stamps too! Nip over to the Cupcake blog to see the nice (not naughty) creations from the other DT girls! I loved choosing the challenge this week, hope you can join us!

Vintage Christmas

Please scroll down for my Creative Cottage Challenge Design Team Card... thanks!

Good evening me lovelies! Well, did someone mention that Christmas was coming... oh yeah in like 10 weeks or so? Well better get me skates on with a card or two so here's one I've done for the Wags n Whiskers challenge 'Vintage/Shabby Chic'. I've used my fave Wags n Whiskers stamp, coloured with Promarkers and then aged using Distress Inks (Vintage Photo and Old Paper). The paper is from an old Dovecraft pack, sorry can't remember the name. I've used pearls from Quixotic to create the details and the holly leaves are cut from some green card. Finally, a sentiment and flower finish the card. There's a new monthly challenge at Quixotic Paperie and this month it's Christmas is Coming... so that fits perfect with my card, as does the challenge at A Spoon Full Of Sugar which is Winter Wonderland.

Better go check on my cupcakes in the oven... they smell delish! Ta ta!

The Creative Cottage Challenge 25 - Halloween

Hello peeps! Time for another Creative Cottage Challenge... this fortnight it's the lovely Teri's turn to choose the theme and she's gone for a favourite of mine... Halloween! Yep... it's only a few weeks away now... I soooo remember it from when I was little with my turnip lantern that was forever getting blown out by the biting wind... but that never stopped me!

Well, I've used the new Halloween products over at The Creative Cottage for my card, how cute are these toppers!? And they coordinate so well with the fab Halloween paper packs too! The little message is from a Pumpkin & Aubergine die cut set (Do Crafts) and the little spider (you can just see him on the right) was created using a small circle punch and some black thread! I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

There are two digi kits up for grabs for one lucky random winner so why not join in? If you can make a halloween themed project, be it a card or other, then you can be in with a chance of winning! Don't forget our October Freebie is the cute Sherbet The Witch... click on the link in my sidebar for more details and a FREE image!

Thanks for popping by today, hope you found my card inspirational :)

Cupcake Craft Challenge 112 - Scary Creatures!

Good morning! Remember the Boomtown Rats? The song 'I don't like Mondays' just popped into my head as I was starting to type this post... so I just had to go on You Tube and listen to it! I never realised the horrible event that inspired this song was so sad, I was only little at the time!

Anyway, we all love Mondays if only for the fact that there's a new challenge over at Cupcake Craft! Well as Halloween is fast approaching our DT member Kathrin has chosen Scary Creatures as our theme this week... she'd like to see all your cute Halloweeny critters on your creations! I've made my DT card using some of the lovely new digi downloads over at The Creative Cottage, my cute image is from the Trick or Treat Toppers Set 2 and my papers are from the Boo and Trick or Treat Paper Packs. The Creative Cottage have 20% off all their products during October so why not (trick) or treat yourself lol! I've added a few beads, ribbon and a little sentiment (Do Crafts) to finish off. If you check in my sidebar you'll see that there's a FREE download from The Creative Cottage... Sherbet the Bear in his Halloween costume. Just click on the picture and it'll take you to the download... and it's FREE so why not!? I'm entering my card in the By The Cute & Girly Challenge and Lexi's Creations Challenge which are both 'Spooky'!

If you pop over to Cupcake you'll see all the scary creatures the other DT girls have been spooked by (or not)... sure to give you a few ideas! Our fab sponsor this week is Soft Pencil who are offering one lucky winner a $20 gift voucher! Don't forget we also have Lili of the Valley as our fab monthly sponsor too! Hope you'll be able to join in the scary fun with us this week!

Thank You!!!

I just wanted to say a BIG thanks to two blogging friends who have kindly given me awards lately. Firstly to Sandra, who sent me the Cherry On Top Award over a month ago now! I'm so sorry hun I haven't gotten around to putting it on my blog before now, I do hope you forgive me! You are a truly thoughtful and creative friend! Thank you for all your lovely comments! If you don't know Sandra's blog 'Rose Petal Creations', then please take a peek, you won't be disappointed!

The second award is the One Lovely Blog Award which I've been given from Lau, thank you so much! Lau is from France and visits my blog regularly, always leaving the loveliest of comments. She's had some sad news recently so if you have time to pop by her blog and say hello, I'm sure it would make her day!

I won't name people to pass these awards on as a lot of you have already received these, but anyone who takes the time to visit my blog is more than welcome to take them!

Oops, Nearly Forgot!

Ok, this is a quick post, I posted earlier tonight but forgot to upload my card for The Sugar Bowl blog... silly me! The photo is naff as I've taken the picture under artificial light which is yucky! Anyway, I've used the lovely simple sketch that Lilian has supplied, which fits perfect with my Diana Duda stamp 'Believe'... she's coloured with Promarkers of course! The papers are Dovecraft 'Fancy Christmas'... although this is actually a birthday card! Well, off for a bit of my chocolate cake now, I shouldn't really but what the heck! Night night!

Cupcake Craft Challenge 111 Happy Hour

Did I say I wanted rain? Urm well, someone must have listened to me as it's tipping it down outside today! I'm not complaining as it's most welcome... although not too much please!

Ok, are you ready for another Cupcake Craft Challenge? Today our super talented DT member Denise chose the theme, which is 'Happy Hour'... basically we'd like to see some drinky poos on your creations! My card was made using the Beer Monster digi stamp from Pollycraft, he's a funny one! I've coloured with Promarkers... I think orange suits him! The sentiment and papers are all from Papermania. Check out the other DT cards... the girls have once again made some fantastic creations! I'm entering my card into the Pollycraft Monday Challenge which is 'Anything Goes', and also Stamp Something 'Something to Celebrate' challenge.

If you join in with us this week, you'll be in with a chance of winning a $20 gift voucher plus free P & P from our sponsor Simon Says Stamp! And on top of that we have a great new monthly sponsor, Lili of the Valley, so make sure you take part in the challenge... you've gotta be in it to win it!

Autumn Is Here

Autumn has finally arrived... and not in half doses... it's windy and raining! Brrrrrr! So to fit in with today's weather I've done a little card using one of my favourite Stampavie stamps, Lucy with kitten! I've done this card for my mam, hope she likes it. The image is coloured with Distress Inks, I've also used these to distress around the edge. The little sentiment stamp is from Paper Make Up stamps. I've followed Dawny P's sketch over at Papertake Weekly Challenge, and have added some pearls etc for good measure. The lace detail has been recycled from some trim.

There's a few autumn challenges this week, so I'm entering my card into the following ones:
Stampavie 'Fall'
Simon Says Stamp 'It's Autumn'

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments, hope you have a nice weekend!
